| Position Responsibilities: |
The position is responsible for partnering with Schwan’s Consumer Brands business team to provide financial and strategic guidance, analytical insights, and ensure execution of plan to achieves sales and profit targets. The individual is responsible for driving the annual plan and forecasting processes to achieve financial requirements and apprising management of deviations and identifying actions to recover. The individual will work closely with both the business team and the finance function to drive smart business decisions, provide insightful analysis, enhance processes, encourage open communication, and deliver results. We are looking for an individual that is comfortable both leading discussions to drive decisions and is willing to roll up their sleeves to do financial analysis and reporting. The position has two direct reports. Duties and activities of this position include, but are not limited to: Work collaboratively with all departments and other business units to achieve financial results via revenue growth and cost reductions Key financial leader responsible for managing business performance, influencing smart business decisions, and delivering results Leads all financial activities , including coordinating and performing, planning, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and monitoring attainment of financial and non-financial metrics for assigned business team Prepares and analyzes financial reporting for assigned business team; including profit and loss, variance analysis, cash flow and other financial results. Provide financial analysis for new product launches; prepare Stage Gate documentation to support financial investments. Provides guidance and analysis on effectiveness and return of consumer and trade marketing promotions Analyze product mix profitability and work with business partners to obtain optimum profitability Periodically accumulates and prepares current year’s results and ensures reporting requirements and deadlines are achieved. Participate in developing growth and profitability strategies for the business segment Manages and assists with coordination and implementation of the businesses unit budgeting, annual budget, planning process and forecasting process Performs and/or acts on special projects and information service projects as assigned related to in-depth expense, headcount and capital spending analysis. Develop new reporting and analytical tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of monitoring business unit performance. Advises and makes recommendations to management as required. Manage, train, and develop staff Education, Knowledge, Skills, and qualifications required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred 7+ years of progressive financial experience Self starter. Ability to work in highly matrixed organization and ability to create processes, structure, and drive decisions from areas of ambiguity. Superior analytical and presentation skills Ability to develop strong partnership/team building relationships with business partners Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A proven ability to relate to all levels of management is necessary. Advanced knowledge of business systems, spreadsheets, desktop database technology, financial modeling, and business planning applications. SAP and BEX experience a plus. |
