Ideal candidate will reside in Bloomington, MN; however, other considerations are: Chicago, Virginia, or San Francisco. This position is responsible to plan, prioritize and manage sales activities and resource allocation in order to consistently attain financial and customer satisfaction goals across assigned area(s). Develops, communicates, activates, and executes operating strategy for the region/assigned area, consistent with company operating strategy. Directs the deployment of sales, merchandising, and distribution resources for maximum achievement of the annual operating plan in a manner consistent with operating policies and best practices of the organization. Ensures alignment of inter-company strategy, regional strategy, and customer strategies. Leads the development of the operations annual budgeting and planning process. Identifies, assesses, and recommends sales growth and/or cost savings initiatives. Benchmarks both internal and external results and trends and develops appropriate strategy. Provides leadership and direction to maximize operating efficiencies. Develops metrics for operating activities and to ensure best practices are implemented. Monitors performance against key measures, reporting information to senior management. Recommends and implements plans of action for improvements. Leads development and implementation of customer level strategies aligned with account management that delivers the annual operating plan while optimizing the value of each customer. Manages broad-based customer relationships and supports direct reports in resolving customer issues and in attaining sales and profit objectives. Understanding of internal company systems such as trade, DOT, safety regulations, if applicable Directs, trains and develops sales team. Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred Years of Related Experience: Minimum 12 years of related experience Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of food industry, manufacturing environments, and multiple sales and distribution systems. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Financial acumen, able to manage budgets and P&L. Analytical and problem solving skills. Solid knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, trends, etc. Demonstrated management and supervisory skills. Forzen/pizza category experience a plus. |
