Position Responsibilities: MARS is currently seeking a Director, Shopper Analytics to work in our Southfield, Michigan office. The Director, Shopper Analytics serves as a key member of the agency team to build the agency’s capability in Shopper Analytics by collaborating with planning, account and creative teams to develop a framework for strategic solutions and building positive relationships with clients. This role is responsible for the integration of proprietary and syndicated sales and shopper data to identify strategic business opportunities for our clients as well as measure the effectiveness of program performance.
What You’ll Do:
Identify compelling, factual, shopper-based recommendations that result in incremental category growth opportunities for our clients
Synthesize data from a variety of sources including IRI, ACNielsen, customer specific POS, shopper loyalty databases, consumer research and category management tools to identify and prioritize business-building opportunities
Work closely with cross-functional agency and client team to develop retailer and shopper strategies that drive business results
Manage all post-execution ROI analysis
Provide team with ongoing retail and category business assessments with implications and recommendations for client leadership and growth
Manage external partnerships with data suppliers
What You Bring to Us:
Bachelor’s degree or greater
Minimum of 8 years experience in consumer or shopper insights and analytics
Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences
