JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE Specialty Sales Inventory Analyst DEPARTMENT: Sales REPORTS TO: Director Specialty Sales LOCATION OF JOB: New York JOB CLASSIFICATION: POSITION OVERVIEW: The Inventory Analyst in the Specialty Sales Department’s primary responsibility is assist the Inventory Control Manager and Director Specialty Sales in all preparation, follow through and order writing resulting in liquidation of excess inventory in a fiscally responsible manner and with the least impact on regular channel product distribution and sales. Key responsibilities include: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Attend excess inventory meetings and assist in identifying excess and obsolete inventory and analyzing viable components, WIP and finished goods inventories for sale. • Manage available inventory on an ongoing basis by using the inventory management system • Assist in identifying and preparing production programs to utilize inventory, and creating new and unique product forms, using excess components, publish and maintain all excess reports • Prepare and maintain product log sheets for new merchandise turned over to Specialty Sales as a result of the excess inventory review • Prepare account specific quote sheets • Assist in preparing statistical and analytical reports, and maintain yearly, monthly and weekly sales reports • Assist in preparation of sales presentations for specialty sales customers, being aware of providing appropriate spectrum of product geared to specific customer requirements • Assist in receiving and processing customer purchase orders • Resolve credit issues for accounts • Primary liaison with Coty support groups monitoring returned goods and issues withy specialty sales orders including product shortages and product. • Working directly with Specialty Sales accounts by developing and maintaining a high standard of rapport and respect with our buyers and their associated departments QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 4 year degree preferred Strong PC skills required 2-3 years excess inventory control experience in CPG industry preferred SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED • Effective interpersonal, communications and written skills • Ability to work in a changing environment • Ability to work with all levels of management • Excellent organizational, administrative and analytical capability • Ability to initiate and coordinate projects WORKING CONDITIONS: (Indicate the work environment(s).
