Responsible for providing the analysis of pricing, promotion and assortment data to link marketing plans and purchasing/sales execution for top tiered vendors to the Vendor Negotiations Manager. 1. Collaborates with Retail Finance and Business Planning to set targets for vendor negotiation strategies. 2. Monitors sales, inventory and marketing data at the category and item level for top tiered vendors. 3. Partners with pricing and promotions managers to obtain data and perform vendor-centric post event analysis. 4. Provides recommendations of vendor negotiation data points to Director of Finance, Retail Operations. 5. Engages and develops analysts with market, competitive, and category promo and price trends. 6. Supports Vendor Negotiations Manager`s input and recommendations for top to top negotiations. B.S./B.A. degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics or similar field. 2-5 years in an analytical function, preferably in CPG, Retail or IRI/Nielsen. Experience in retail data such as Nielsen, IRI; knowledge of leading analytical software, marketing, finance; experience in CPG, sales and marketing preferred. Skilled in data analysis and financial modeling, proficient in MS Excel and Access, previous experience with internal data systems and software. Problem solving skills, communications skills. Ability to identity and simplify key data points. |
