| Position Responsibilities: |
BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
Assist in developing budgets, forecasts and tracking actual business performance against commitments.
PRINCIPAL CONTINUING RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and maintain modeling tools that identify relevant trends and issues in profitability.
2. Analyze actual results on a monthly basis; identify risks, opportunities, errors and irregularities. Identify variances from forecasts or latest expectations and obtain explanations and communicate them to senior management.
3. Completion of notice of packs, and establishment of inventory codes. Ensure the integrity of composite standards, stat factors, weights, etc though periodic review of the master file information in the financial data warehouse and the eBPCS General Ledger system.
4. Assist in preparing financial results and miscellaneous management presentations for the BU Board, Supply Chain management, and Executive Team.
5. Assist in annual budget process for the manufacturing locations. Review and analyze plant labor and overhead costs.
6. Track manufacturing weekly/monthly. Provide updates to Operations Finance Mgr on plant performance. Understand monthly results vs. budget and latest forecast.
7. Perform financial analyses to evaluate potential cost savings projects or to support strategic decisions as directed by manager.
8. Track Manufacturing cost savings projects monthly.
EDUCATION:
B.A. or B.S. in Accounting / Finance, MBA desired
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
3-5 Years
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Financial analysis experience in forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Experience in ERP system (i.e. eBPCS) and Essbase.
